Today, Microsoft announced that it will bring the current Surface lineup of products to South Africa later this year. We, obviously, cannot wait.
It has always been a strange phenomenon reporting on Microsoft’s new Surface products in South Africa. They’re all so cool but it are always an absolute mission to import. Then you get the added bonus of no local after-sales service.
“Our intention is to bring our current Surface portfolio to South Africa by the end of the year,” Microsoft said. That means we’ll finally get first-hand access to some of the top laptop, PC and tablet tech around.
Microsoft announced the news via a blog post, saying, “To help better address the global demand we are seeing for Surface, we excited to share that we will bring Surface to Mexico and South Africa later this year.”
We’ll start seeing more news in coming months regarding Microsoft’s entry into the SA market, and we’ll likely see its newest products first. This includes the new Surface Go 2, Surface Book 3, Surface Headphones 2, Surface Earbuds, Surface Dock 2 and accessories for Microsoft Surface.
We’ll update you as we find out more on the Surface lineup entering SA. Rejoice, Microsoft (and plain old hardware) fans. It’s a good day.
