What seems to have become a tradition for Adult Swim, the return of Rick and Morty was planned for 1 April to no doubt play into that April Fool’s Day hype. Yet while may be extra sensitive around the topic of April Fool’s Day this year, this is definitely no joke so at least we have something to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Showmax confirmed today that the highly anticipated return of Rick and Morty is just a month away. Adult Swim announced that the mid-season break for the latest series of the beloved animated show was coming to an end in just a few weeks as Rick and Morty: The Other Five will debut on 3 May, 2020. The continuation of season 4 will feature five brand new episodes, as you’ve probably surmised from the title.
Better news still, Showmax confirmed that these new episodes will be available to stream on their service just 24 hours after their initial debut in the United States. That means we’ll be able to stream the first of The Other Five on 4 May 2020, which is really good news for both fans of the show and those intellectuals who just comprehend the humour and science of Rick and Morty better than us normal people.
If you’re itching to catch up with the series or just want to try it out before season 4 concludes, Showmax has the entirety of the series available to stream. Considering the fact that you probably don’t have anything better to do, maybe this could take the spot of that ultra depressing series called The News that everyone seems so to not shut up about these days.
