Samsung shows off new wearables: The Galaxy Watch Active2 and the Galaxy Buds+

Samsung has noticed that you’ve become a little pudgy around the middle. “No judgement, dude”, they say. “Happens to the best of us”. To help you out with that, Samsung has gone ahead and announced their latest in a range of peripherals to help you exercise. A very clever watch and some super effective earbuds.

Announced at Samsung Unpacked, the Galaxy Watch Active2 is designed as the last step in smart-watch technology. Built in sleep and stress tracking, automatic workout detection, a real-time running coach and advanced heart rate monitoring will assist you in achieving the healthiest lifestyle you can muster. The Galaxy Active2 will come in 2 sizes (40mm and 44mm), will be water resistant up to 50m and will be compatible with Galaxy and Non-Galaxy Smartphones.

Beyond the Active2, the Galaxy Buds+ are Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Airpods. 2-Way dynamic speakers, enhanced ambient sound and improved connectivity are all included within the Galaxy Buds+. They’ll have up to eleven hours of battery life and with fast charge capabilities, they’ll only take 3 mins of charge to run for an hour.

The Active Galaxy Watch Active2 will be released later this year, currently at an unknown price, and the Galaxy Buds+ will launch at approximately R2 200.00
