Huawei will launch the Mate 30 Pro in September
Huawei’s not gonna let us down quite yet and will launch its upcoming flagship, the Mate 30 Pro in about a month’s time. New reports on a Russian news site, High-tech — Huawei will announce the Mate 30 Pro on 19 September. The report also suggests that the upcoming device will be powered by a new chip – the Kirin 990. Huawei is also set to shower us with choices, with a Mate 30 Lite iteration also reportedly in the pipeline. The expected September debut will be made in Europe, and nothing suggests that it’ll launch with Huawei’s newly announced Harmony OS. We’re still expecting its EMUI 10 overlay built on Android Q. There can only be one: A supercomputer simulates millions of virtual universes
The University of Arizona has built a supercomputer capable of building virtual universes. You know. In the pursuit of truth? We’re sensing a slight tinge of Rick and Morty influence here. The main reason? Because building a supercomputer capable of simulating our own universe is near impossible and would need processing power we don’t harness yet. So what a team at AU decided, is to build a computer that creates simulations of randomised universes, each with its own set of rules, and see which most closely resembles our own. This method is giving researchers more insight into the formation of stars, galaxies and planets, even though they are just simulations.
A Tesla exploded after crashing into a tow truck on autopilot
Let’s just preface this by saying that no-one ever said that autopilot is flawless by any means. Also, cars cannot think for themselves, even if Elon Musk designed them. Which brings us to the non-fatal crash of a Tesla (Model 3 or Model S, apparently it’s hard to tell) in Russia. The EV, in autopilot at the time with driver Alexi Tretyakov behind the wheel, crashed into a parked tow truck on Moscow’s Ring Road. After which it exploded in a glorious bout of fire. Apparently, the driver had his hands on the steering wheel, but it turns out neither he or the semi-autonomous system saw the parked vehicle. Before we start condemning autonomous vehicles, Tretyakov and his two children escaped the car with only minor injuries. And it made for a pretty impressive light show on a highway. It looks like Death Stranding is no longer a PlayStation 4 exclusive
All the mopy PC bois can calm right down. The highly anticipated Death Stranding title from gaming legend Hideo Kojima, will probs no longer be PS4 exclusive. A member on the ResetEra forum noticed Death Stranding has been removed from the list of PS4 exclusive games on an Australian PlayStation website. It also looks like it has been removed from the UK site and other European official PlayStation sites. Death Stranding is one of the most anticipated games of the past few years, as we haven’t seen anything from Kojima’s production house for a while.
