We’re heading to the bar. The Sonos Playbar

Your television set does a whole lot for you. It provides a screen for movies, series, streaming services, satellite transmissions, and video games – as well as a few other uses we might not have considered. You should do something nice for it: like adding a new Playbar from Sonos.

Why? Because Sonos’ Playbar provides cinematic sound for music, TV, movies, and more, offers functions like Speech Enhancement, plays nice with your TV and remote control, and features a phased speaker array. Why is that important? Read on to find out.

    Where you want it

Place a Playbar on your TV stand or purchase the custom designed wall mount to easily and securely hang it. Place it beneath your TV, on a table or console. Or mount it on the wall. Either way, it looks and sounds beautiful. Because Playbar.

    Expands with you

Playbar is part of the Sonos sound system, so you can easily add more speakers to fill every room with sound. Want a One, a Beam, or anything else in the ecosystem? That’s totally an option.

    Premium sound

With nine custom-built drivers, the Playbar delivers rich, cinematic sound for all your movies, TV shows, sports, and music. Sonos’ Playbar delivers crisp, clear dialogue. Need even more clarity? Turn on speech enhancement.

    Night sound

Watching late at night and don’t want to disturb the whole house? Turn on night sound, which tones down bass so you can get your watch on without waking up the entire family.

    Not just louder. Clearer

Thin is great for TV screens, but not so great for sound. The Playbar to the rescue. With nine amplified speaker drivers—six mid-range and three tweeters—Playbar replaces your TV’s built-in speakers with deep, rumbling lows, crystal-clear dialogue, and immersive waves of sound.

What you see is what you hear

The Sonos Playbar features nine speakers designed in a phased speaker array to deliver “directionality”, creating a wider sound stage. That means if there’s a huge crash on the left side of the screen, you’ll hear it there because the speakers on the left are playing the sound and the speakers on the right are playing the inverse of that sound.

Grows to 5.1 with zero drama

The Playbar is just the beginning of the ultimate home theatre experience. Add a Sonos Sub for soul-shaking bass. Want full surround sound? Use a pair of Sonos speakers for rear channels.

The wireless home sound system that gets better over time

Easily connect Sonos speakers in different rooms over WiFi to create a home sound system that brings every room and everyone together. Regular software updates means your product is constantly improving.
