We’re already in the fourth month of 2019 and you’d be a fool not to get your hands on the freshest issue of Stuff Magazine. In our April 2019 edition, we’ve packed our pages with all of the most essential technology this side of a stargate. We’ve got gadgets great and small, as well as a few flexible options, and even a car or two for you to pore over this month. As always, though, it’s a lot more detailed than it looks on the surface.
When it comes to smartphones, we’ve had a pretty good look at the menu for the rest of the year. The only holdouts? Samsung’s Note upgrade and whatever surprises Apple has in store for us in September. Everything else we saw recently in Barcelona, Spain at Mobile World Congress (or shortly before/after in the case of Samsung’s S10 and Huawei’s P30). Rather than just having a bullfighting holiday away from SA, we’ve come back with all the info. Want to choose your next smartphone, even before it launches here in South Africa? You’re going to need our smartphone-focused MWC 2019 overview in your life.
It’s not all cellphones and camera upgrades. If you’re in the market for a smarter home, you’ll find all the deets you need in our Smart Home 2.0 feature. Whether you’re just dipping your toe in with a smart speaker or going for something a little more fuller-featured with connected screens, security, and lighting, you don’t have to get a contractor to rip holes in your walls in order to install comprehensive smart tech. Yes, even here in South Africa — though here you might have a spot more searching to do. Not to worry, we’ve done most of the hard work. You’re going to have to work out how to pay R190,000 for a smart toilet on your own, though.
You know that winter is coming, right? This month marks the end of one of the most successful series to have graced our screens — yes, Season 8 of Game of Thronesis on its way and we’ve got a little something on that in the April 2019 issue of Stuff. And we’ve got a bunch of suggestions for other shows once your GoT-has-finished depression rears its ugly head. The best way to get over it is to move on… or to just binge-watch all eight seasons right from the beginning while sobbing into a bucket of nachos and ice cream. That’s totally what we’d do, in your place. If not for our handy streaming list, that is.
And that’s not all. That’s never all. We could fill an awful lot of space with the stuff we’ve stuck in the April 2019 issue of Stuff and we actually have… It’s called the April 2019 issue of Stuff. We’ve got a bunch of folding smartphones, a collection of juicers, unusual cars (some electric, some with legs… you know how it is), fitness trackers and 360° cameras. We’re also looking at music-making tech and software, how to upskill your DJI Mavic 2 Pro, new ways to make your life work with Feedly and a whole lot more. So what are you waiting for?
