You can have a bit of a chat with astronauts a little later this month if you’re so inclined, thanks to NASA who will be hosting a Google + Hangout with the International Space Station on 22 February.
It isn’t immediately clear who will be able to interact live with the astronauts, if anybody outside of NASA, but the public is invited to submit video-based questions prior to the event. Not everyone’s question will be addressed, obviously, but interested parties can submit 30-second questions via YouTube for consideration during the Hangout. The questions have to be submitted before 12 February but there are a few requirements.
Users must tag their 30-seconds-or-less questions with #askAstro and should introduce themselves and give their locations before asking their questions. NASA will also be taking live questions from Google +, YouTube or Twitter that are tagged with #askAstro during the event, which will take place from 11:00 to noon EST (18:00 to 19:00 local time) on 22 February. The event, and others, can be viewed here.
