A report in the Korea Times concerning Samsung’s shift from LCD to OLED displays has sparked rumours that the next Galaxy Note to come from Samsung will feature a 6.3″ display.
The information apparently comes via a South Korean parts supplier, who claims that the company has been developing the Galaxy Note III with a 6.3 OLED screen, which would make the Note II’s successor the largest handset to come from Samsung.
Sales of the Galaxy Note II have proved that there is a market for the so-called ‘phablet’ devices so it is not inconceivable that Samsung would scale up the size of the display. PC World speculates that the next Galaxy Note will launch in mid to late 2013.
