Nokia has made the Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 phone official, revealing the handset at today’s New York event.
A dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 4.5″ PureMotion HD+ display with NFC and integrated wireless charging – also announced at Nokia’s event – are the core features of the Finnish company’s high-end handset.
The Lumia 920 carries the PureView branding but it does not boast the 41 megapixel camera that the 808 packs. Instead it features an 8 megapixel camera that is capable of 1080p video recording.
Nokia’s head of imaging Damian Dinning has said that the company’s PureView phones will be synonymous with “high-end cameras” and assured those at the event that the 920’s floating lens and low-light capabilities would make the handset worthy of the title.
Pricing and availability of the handset has not been revealed yet.
