You'll often catch me dreaming of a Wind Waker remaster. Or sleeping. One of the two.

Call of Duty: Black Ops (insert number here) might be a Game Pass day-one title Microsoft is obviously still reeling from that $75 billion acquisition of Activision. Microsoft hasn’t said as much publically, but how else do you account for Xbox shutting down the Bethesda studios responsible for Hi-Fi Rush or the more recent news that it’s considering throwing the next Call of Duty title on GamePass? Yup. According to a report from The Wall Street Journal (via Engadget), Xbox is eyeing up a day-one release on GamePass for the next Call of Duty game in a desperate bid to… boost GamePass’ subscriber numbers?…

When Stuff’s editor-in-chief, Toby Shapshak said that Amazon’s recent launch in South Africa would make “all the other e-commerce players who don’t want to see their lunch being eaten lift their game,” he wasn’t kidding. Shoprite Group’s Checker’s Sixty60 app is getting a major rework, “enabling customers to shop for over 10,000 larger Checkers Hyper products, with same-day delivery scheduled within a 60-minute time slot,” it announced today. What are those? The revamped Checkers Sixty60 app will allow customers to expand their online shopping abilities to more than just groceries. Specifically, it will include larger items, “…ranging from camping and outdoor gear…

It’s been five months since Rockstar Games graced our screens with the first Tom Petty-adorned trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar then returned to hibernation, leaving us with a 2025 release window and not much else. Until yesterday that is, when Rockstar-owner, Take-Two Interactive, confirmed that the game is slated to release in the Spring of 2025. Finally, Grand Theft Auto VI https://youtu.be/QdBZY2fkU-0 The news came as part of Take-Two’s announcement of its Q4 and full fiscal year 2024 earnings, as reported by Variety. “Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to…

Camera nerds listen up. Fujifilm South Africa has just announced a duo of cameras bolstering the company’s X Series and GFX large format cameras. Those are the mid-range X-T50, setting your wallet back R26,000, and the far more expensive GFX100S II, expected to retail for R93,500. Both devices are slated to hit shelves in June. Both cameras will debut alongside new lenses, too. For the more conformist X Series, there’s the Fujinon XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR. But if your camera obsession (and pockets) run deeper, the new GF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR “adds considerable range to the GFX series.” These…

South Africa has been living in fear of Netflix’s ad-supported tier ever since the streaming giant launched the new tier in 2022. Somehow, the streamer has yet to cast its Eye of Barad-dûr in South Africa’s direction, but we don’t expect that to be the case for much longer. Yesterday, the streamer revealed that in the countries where the ad-supported tier is supported, it is proving wildly successful. Specifically, the tier is up to 40 million subscribers, out of Netflix’s 270 million or so subscribers across all tiers it reported last month. And it’s only gaining steam. Just 5 months…

Look guys, Apple really does care about accessibility for its iPhone customers. What other company would save up some potentially life-changing features to coincide with Global Accessibility Awareness Day? Certainly not Apple, which just announced a whole bunch of accessibility features that are slated to arrive “in the coming months.” Oh, wait. Most notable among them is Eye Tracking, predicted to arrive alongside the new iPadOS 18 and iOS 18 updates next month at Apple’s WWDC conference. Eye Tracking is about as cool as it sounds, allowing users to control basic features of their iPhone or iPad simply by looking.…

Talk about bad timing. Like Guerilla Games tip-toeing around Breath of the Wild in 2017 (and later, Elden Ring), Google just held its annual I/O developer conference where it put a heavy significance on artificial intelligence. You know, just a day after OpenAI, which is considered to be the leader in the industry, brought GPT-4o to life. Coincidence? We think not. Still, this is Google we’re talking about. It’s pretty difficult to knock the steam out of an event like I/O, and rightfully so. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, took to the stage to unveil a flurry of new AI-powered features, heavily…
