Le Mans is known for several things: a famous accident, 24 hour endurance races and the Bugatti Circuit. You’ll notice that all of these are related to motorsports and that’s hardly surprising. The 24 Hours of Le Mans race is perhaps the only race consumed predominately though highlight reels (unless you’re a super-fan) but it’s also one of the toughest in the world. It’s especially gruelling for the vehicles that are specially constructed to take on the extended affair. Nissan is one automotive company that are planning on challenging Le Mans this year in June and they’ve revealed some of…

Vodacom’s taking its next step in building up a local portfolio of self-branded devices, the third such device since the Smart Kicka phone and Smart Tab 3G tablet launched last year. If you take a look at the current virtual reality trend, many companies are behaving like a dog chasing a bus – what would they do if they caught the blasted thing? Oculus Rift has a whole lot of developers on board but just about everyone else seems to be doing it because they can. So what would you use a consumer VR headset for, exactly? Particularly one designed around a smartphone as a screen? If you’re Samsung, you’re going to be putting them onto Quantas flights and in Quantas’ First Class Lounge in Sydney, at least to start with. Samsung…

Is it possible that tablets are coming to a saturation point? Er… probably not, given how popular the little handheld devices actually are but they have had their first worldwide slip, according to the IDC (International Data Corporation. You see, tablets actually had a pretty good year in 2014, with global sales up by 4.4% (that’s just shy of 230 million tablets sold across the board last year) but that’s in spite or, not thanks to, the last quarter of 2014. All of the majors saw a decline in tablet sales in the last part of last year, compared to…

What’s next from Samsung? The company themselves are teasing their latest Unpacked event, which will be taking place on 1 March this year, and it looks as though there are going to be some curves in store. That is based upon the official teaser image released by the company, though there’s no indication of what it might be. It could be a curved smartphone, indeed Engadget notes that the curve resembles part of the Galaxy Note Edge. But the Edge has already been revealed so it’s likely to be something else. The smart money is on the Galaxy S 6,…

We’re going to start you off with a content warning, which you’ll have hopefully read before starting to buffer the reveal video above. There’s some quite graphic content in the gameplay above – if you’re a Mortal Kombat fan, you’ll know what to expect. If you’re a newcomer, you might need to avert your eyes. That said, the video above is our first look at the return of Reptile, the lizard-man with the very nasty saliva. He’s the latest addition to the upcoming Mortal Kombat X, and this gameplay video (which ends in Reptile winning his bout, obviously) is NetherRealm…

How do you test the communications system for a car that is expected (hopefully) hit speeds of 1,600km/h? It’s dangerous enough to take a vehicle like the Bloodhound with a jet engine into the desert, using it for a test isn’t the greatest idea you can have. There is a solution that doesn’t mean endangering your supersonic vehicle and the team behind the Bloodhound SSC have just released a video showing what is the most extreme data connection test we’ve ever witnessed. What they’ve done is take two road vehicles, the Jaguar F-TYPE R Coupé and a Jag XF, and…
