So you think your car is fast, do you? We’re willing to bet that while it may perform at the top end, it doesn’t have the pickup of this dinky little electric vehicle which has just set a world record for acceleration in an electric vehicle.
We don’t have the slightest idea what GreenTeam Uni Stuttgart were aiming for with their battery-powered vehicle, which resembles a Formula 1 starter kit, but we are very aware of what they got at the end of several days. The group of university students scored a 0 to 100km/h time of just 1.779 seconds, beating out the previous record of 1.785 seconds set in November last year by Swiss outfit AMZ Racing.
So, as we were saying, you think you car is fast, do you? To be fair, this one has been constructed with acceleration and little else in mind, but when this record-setting attempt is transferred to commercial vehicles…
