Fitness brand Coros has a decent, if underappreciated, presence in South Africa. Now, it looks like its R6,000 running watch, the Pace 4, will be joined by the company’s Pace 4 Pro soon.
Details of the wearable’s existence emerged via Indonesia’s regulator, which outed the Pace 4 Pro in one of its listings. 5KRunner points out that these listings usually mean that a launch is weeks away. Odds are we’ll see something official soon.
Changing Coros
We’re forced to wait until something new turns up anyway. The listing doesn’t provide many details beyond the full device name. ‘Coros Pace 4 Pro’ is the listed designation, with a new model code that suggests new hardware (according to WearableFans). If it were just a revamped version of the Pace 4’s casing, it wouldn’t have a fresh hardware code.
Beyond that, there are no visuals to pore over or features unveiled. WearableFans speculates that some new features are on the way. An improved display, build (with titanium coming to the party), and improved offline mapping are suggested, but there’s nothing to indicate these are correct at present.
Odds are that something else will turn up before Coros drops another of its underrated fitness devices on the market. Odds are even better that we’ll see it launch here, since we tend to get simultaneous launches with the rest of the world. Now if the company would just let us play with them more often…
