Assuming Samsung doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel this year, it’s expected to host its second Galaxy Unpacked event of this year in July. That’s nothing new. The July window has long served as the jumping-off point for the company’s smartwatches, Galaxy Z Fold, and other foldables. This year, it may have something new to show us.
Mind the glass(es)

That would be the South Korean company’s answer to Meta’s highly lucrative Ray-Ban smart glasses. Samsung’s smart specs are still without an official name, though we feel a generic “Galaxy Glasses” is a pretty safe bet. That may all change come July, according to a report from Seoul Economic Daily, citing industry insider sources.
That sounds about on par with the other rumours floating about. Less than a month ago, we got our first look at Samsung’s ‘Jinji’ glasses, courtesy of the folks at Android Headlines. That suggests that the device is closer than we may have initially thought. There’s almost no chance Samsung doesn’t announce this at Unpacked.

We’ve got a rough idea of the sort of tech that it’ll sport. There’s no display — or at least, not yet. Whispers tell us that Samsung’s already working on a sequel — one that will use a display. ‘Til then, Galaxy Glasses buyers will only get hold of the glasses’ speakers, microphones, and a camera built into the frame. A 155mAh battery keeps it going, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 SoC acts as the brains, supplying AI smarts wherever you go.
As for an exact date, Seoul Economic Daily points to the next Galaxy Unpacked landing on 22 July 2026. It’ll be hosted in London, likely delivering us the Galaxy Watch9 series, Galaxy Fold 8 and Flip 8. Samsung’s long-rumoured “wide” foldable is also expected to make an appearance at the event.
