If you haven’t kept up with Amazon’s slate of free games (free if you have a Prime Video subscription, we mean), then perhaps May’s catalogue can change that. If you’ve got a Prime Video subscription and haven’t put it to good use yet, listen up. Each sub grants its owner access to Amazon Luna, Amazon’s basic tier of its cloud gaming service. While not technically available in SA, locals can still claim a couple of free PC games every month.
Leave our backlog outta this!

Starting with Mafia II: Definitive Edition in May. That’s the headline title that’ll keep you busy ’til you get around to the other twenty-or-so other claimable games this month. Don’t dawdle when adding them to your library. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Mafia II, for instance, stops being free on 10 June 2026.
Before we start, you’ll need a couple of things. We’ve already mentioned a Prime Video subscription, which will set you back R80/m (P.S. — you can snag a seven-day free trial to claim this month’s games). Next up, you’ll need accounts with both Epic Games and Good Old Games (GOG), where you’ll enter the codes to redeem the games.
That’s about it. Just head on over here, sign in with your Amazon credentials, and spam that claim button. We should mention that these are yours to do with as you please, ’til the end of time. Even after your Prime Video subscription grinds to a halt, the games inside your Epic Games and GOG libraries will remain.
Mafia II is the easy pick-up this month, but don’t ignore the rest of the pile. Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot is also worth your time, even if it isn’t quite Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. We’d also recommend taking a look at XCOM: Enemy Unknown for some fun TBS action.
