Samsung’s next pair of buds is becoming more real by the day. While not technically announced yet, Android Authority recently uncovered references to a new pair of buds called the ‘Galaxy Buds Able’ in an APK teardown. That, along with the buds’ appearance at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), all but confirms they’re coming.
That still leaves a whole lot to the imagination. Are these a continuation of the regular Galaxy Buds lineup or something entirely new? Another leak from SammyGuru suggests it’ll be the latter, possibly taking on an open-ear, clip-on design. It’s a market that’s gaining traction fast with gym-goers and casual listeners alike.
Gets your buds on

Samsung’s take on clip-ons looks a whole lot like Beyerdynamic’s Amiron Zero Sport. It borrows Beyers’ rather thin bridge, even if the speakers take a more traditional approach. We’ve yet to see anything more than this pretty basic icon, which SammyGuru spotted deep inside the recent OneUI firmware update.
That’s usually how these things go with Samsung. We doubt it’ll be long before someone gets their hands on an official pair, hopefully giving us a better look at these buds and the accompanying charging case. As long as it doesn’t take any notes from Sony’s clip-on playbook in that department, we’ll be happy.

Details on the tech inside are still scant, but Samsung isn’t one to slouch when it comes to audio. It seems these will trade regular drivers for bone conduction tech, which sends vibrations through your cheekbones right to the inner ear. That should lead to fewer colleagues asking you to turn ’em down in a crowded office. Sound quality will also take a knock, as it loses out on the advantage of a closed seal you’d typically find on other buds.
Guesses aside, there’s no telling when we’ll see the Galaxy Buds Able turn up, or how much they’ll cost. There’s next to no chance it’ll launch higher than the company’s latest Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, but it may not be far behind. An official release date is still unknown, but a 2026 release is still on the cards.
