We’d been wondering what ever happened to Asus’ ProArt devices with dedicated custom controls, but now we’ve got a pretty good idea. They were waiting for the right partner to come along. That partner, apparently, is GoPro.
Asus has teased the launch of its new “ProArt GoPro creator edition laptop” at this year’s CES, dropping a post on X that offers hints as to what’s coming. The most obvious bit of branding? A dedicated GoPro key, which lives an alternate life next to the F8 button.
GoProArt?
The ProArt @GoPro edition creator laptop is about to break cover.

There is a little more to see in Asus’ teaser, but only a little. There looks to be slight design changes coming to its upcoming hardware, possibly seeing the cooling grid at the rear of the laptop reflecting the GoPro Hero’s visual design. Or, you know, it could just be an interesting and explosive bit of computer graphics. Our money’s on the former.
Also coming is one of those fancy wheels Asus was playing with, optimised for editing GoPro (and probably any other) video footage. It’d mean reducing the number of potential buyers for this still murky laptop — folks who don’t need the editing wheel aren’t likely to pay for one — but that’s the price you pay for releasing a semi-customised machine.
Asus is saving the full reveal for this one for CES 2026, but it looks as though it’ll broadcast a global online event instead of focusing its attentions on the States. The timing? 7 PM on 6 January, if you’re living in South Africa. That works out to 9 AM on the morning of CES’ official kickoff. We’ll see if this is one ProArt worth hanging on a wall then.
