While DJI has definitely branched out in recent years, it remains committed to photography, whether it’s high up in the air or strapped directly to a customer. The company’s latest product — the DJI Osmo Nano — is certainly that. An incredibly minuscule action cam that was revealed in not just one or two, but three leaks.
It’s safe to say that the Osmo Nano is coming, and soon. This is normally the bit we’d tell you to be sceptical of any leaks floating around the internet until we hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. DJI’s own social media team accidentally ‘leaked’ some images and specs of the action cam, which serves as a follow-up to the company’s Action 2 camera, though somehow with a smaller frame.

Oops! In a unexpected turn of events @DJIGlobal themselves LEAKED the #OsmoNano on X. They accidentally posted the image of the ‘Own the Moment’ on a #Mic3 promotion video. Exposing the #Nano in full photographic detail. Cheers!https://t.co/Bde7jkyMUo pic.twitter.com/mhyHXGUP3x

While the post was eventually taken down, it lives on, courtesy of @JasperEllens. It gave us a good look at the cam and the ‘own the moment’ marketing it’s going for, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. The Osmo Nano looks to be extremely compact, judging by a YouTube Short that was posted early by tech channel The Product Village.
The Short too was taken down — likely for mistiming DJI’s embargo — but not before Igor Bogdanov (@Quadro_News) managed to save it in full. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t give us a look at the Osmo Nano in the flesh, but it tells enough to get excited: like the fact that it’s hiding 128GB of built-in storage in that tiny body.

The initial leak also gave us a glimpse at an attachment that will come with the Osmo Nano that will handle the screen duties — and judging by other action cams, offer up some extra battery and possibly even more storage. This was later backed up by another leak, this time from Roland Quandt, who shared what look to be official product shots for the Osmo Nano.
All that remains to see is a price tag and an official release date. There’s no indication on the former in these leaks, though earlier reports reckon the device will come out to roughly $400 (∼R7,000) for 128GB storage, while half that should set you back around $370 (∼R6,400).
