Say what you will about Amazon — that it’s spying on you, the working conditions are abysmal, and its CEO may just be a reptile — but you can’t deny it knows how to look after its gamer customers. Every month, those with an Amazon Prime subscription (Prime Video will suffice) unlock access to a bunch of free games — some of them even good. June is one of those months. And claiming them is as simple as hitting copy and paste a few times.
On the menu this month is Tomb Raider Remastered I-III, a reimagining of the iconic series that birthed the badass Lara Croft that’s still around even today. Or you could dive into Saint Row 2, a direct sequel to the wacky, satirical open-world title that debuted in 2006. If you’re full up on those, Amazon has some other titles that will surely tempt you. All you need is an active Prime Video subscription, and you’re good to go.
There’s no such thing as a free lunch, but these Amazon games…
Unlike most game-based subscription services, Amazon does things a little differently by letting customers actually keep their claimed monthly games, even after their subscription has ended. This alone makes the R80/m price of Prime Video worth it. Even so… the streaming service itself is home to a wealth of half-decent content.
Once you’ve got an active Prime Video subscription (Amazon Prime is unavailable locally), head here. Sign in to your Amazon account, and you can start claiming. On top of June’s fresh additions, there are still a couple of games — like Mafia III — that can still be claimed (and kept forever) from previous events. Make sure to scroll through the list to claim everything. Free is free, right?

We should note that most of the titles require either an Epic Games or GOG (Good Old Games) account to claim them. While scrolling the list, you’ll want to have GOG open beside you, as claiming certain titles will require you copy + paste a redemption code, after which it will be tied to that account forever. Games available on Amazon or Epic will automatically be added to the respective accounts once linked and claimed.
