Samsung’s Galaxy Flip 7 has come out to play in a set of new renders from noted leakers OnLeaks and Android Headlines. It’s the second such leak for the upcoming smartphone — the first showed a secondary screen much the same as that seen in the Galaxy Flip 6.
The second leak… not so much. Gone are the borders keeping the display separate from the dual rear cameras. Instead, the upper part of the outer surface is all display, with cutouts for the camera lenses.

It might not seem like much, but it’s at least a change in design. Instead of the expected 3.6in outer screen, Samsung seems to be opting for a 4in outer screen. Once upon a time, that was all you’d get from your smartphone display. Here, it’s the second option for users bored with their flexible inner OLED panel.
The Galaxy Flip 7 is also expected to grow in size just a little, with dimensions of 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9mm being offered by the leakers. The rear cameras will reportedly remain at 50MP and 12MP, but the innards are due for an upgrade. There could be a hardware-facilitated performance increase there.

Less certain is the use of an Exynos 2500 chipset. Last year, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 took pride of place and rumoured production difficulties from the Samsung-made chip mean its successor could do the hard work this year. 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage are also on the cards for the Flip 7 later this year.
Nothing is official until Samsung’s relevant Unpacked — we’d guess it’s somewhere in early July 2025 — but given how much the leaked renders look like official product imagery and how reliable the source of them is, odds are that this early info is pretty close to spot-on. The question remains — is the increased screen size enough to make you give up your Galaxy Flip 6 for the new model?
