Stuff South Africa

In This Issue – The Stuff App Awards (June-July 2024) Issue

If you’re a South African app developer, the June-July 2024 issue of Stuff should be on your radar. That’s doubly true if you answered Stuff‘s recent call for entries into its 2024 App Awards, which is one of the highlight features of this issue of the mag. But it’s far from the only reason to purchase this newly-dropped copy of Stuff. As ever, there’s always more to see.

Smartphones. Everyone has one. Or they really want one. Either way, it’s an excuse for us to immerse ourselves in the very best smartphones to come out in 2024. Oh, sure, there will be a few surprises at the end of the year but the June-July 2024 issue of Stuff has just about everything you’ll need to know. Apple’s the only holdout and we’re pretty sure they’re launching the iPhone 16. Call it an educated guess. For everything else, we’ve got the phones you need to consider from top-end to budget to more specialist use cases. If it’s not on one of these pages, it’s not worth having.

Sony is known for its excellent audio. Okay, and there are also a few other things the Japanese company is famous for. Spider-Man. PlayStation. You know, little things. But in this case, we’re enamoured with the new Sony ULT 900N over-ears, semi-budget cans with a fondness for excellent sound and few of the frilly bits that sometimes accompany it. The included premium features are excellent but it’s stripped back in other places. Find out more in the June-July 2024 Stuff.

But seriously, if you’re an app developer then you should have entered Stuff‘s 2024 App Awards. You’ll find the rundown of winners and runners-up in the pages of this issue. Local devs both established and upcoming should keep their eyes peeled for the 2025 Awards entry mechanism, which will be announced soon, but in the meantime, come and see what you’re up against. You know you want to.

There’s more. There’s always more. The June-July 2024 issue of Stuff is packed to overflowing with the latest tech to hit the market, from cars you cant buy yet (or even afford) to Samsung’s upcoming TVs, the latest wearables out of China, and suggestions for staving off load shedding (it’ll be back) and how to upskill devices you already own.
