TCL’s new QD Mini LED range will let you C the difference

TCL's new C-Series QD Mini LED & QLED TVsPopular tech brand TCL is on track to launch three brand-new QD Mini LED TV sets in its C-series line-up in South Africa this month. Taking advantage of its position as a podium finisher in the global TV popularity stakes, TCL is bringing advanced television technology to the masses at an affordable price point and a range of panel sizes.

Whether you’re the lucky owner of the TCL C845, C745, or C645 QD Mini LED television sets, you’ll discover that these Google TV-powered panels offer excellent visual fidelity, advanced smart home features, and a range of sizes from 50in to 98in. That last display size is a point of pride for the Chinese tech-maker, which holds the enviable position of having the world’s most popular 98in TVs under its banner.

The C845

The TCL C845 is the brand’s newest Quantum Dot (QD) Mini LED television to launch in South Africa. Available in the 65in panel size, the brand has stuck its AiPQ Processor 3.0 behind the 576 full array dimming zones that make up the new QD display. The C845 promises brighter whites, darker blacks, and enhanced contrast thanks to 2,000 nits of peak brightness and fine control over the panel’s backlight.

It’s not all about the looks, either. The C845 arrives packing Onkyo audio and support for Dolby Atmos, ensuring that your at-home movie experience is unlike any other you’ve ever seen. There are a couple of other neat factors to look forward to – 144Hz variable refresh rates, for starters, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification, and TCL’s 240Hz Game Master 2.0 acceleration system.

The C745

You’d think that the C845 is perfect for gaming (and you’d be right) but the C745, launching in 55in and 65in models, is the panel to get if you’re planning on connecting a PlayStation or Xbox and immersing yourself in some detailed gaming action. That 144Hz variable refresh rate, gaming booster, and AMD FreeSync certification make the jump. Built from the ground up to be TCL’s most advanced gaming TV, users can expect Full Array Local Dimming support from the 4K QLED panel. And there’s something more to look forward to later in 2023.

Also on the cards for a South African launch is the TCL C755. This set offers variations on the features seen in its close siblings but the year-end launch means that you’ll be able to pick this on up in sizes ranging from 55in to a truly massive 98in. With 144Hz variable refresh rates, Mini LED pixels, and a massive number of dimming zones, this is the TV you’ll want to watch.

The C645

The TCL C645 television set touches down in South Africa in a range of sizes. Expect to pick it up in 50in, 55in, 65in, 75in, and 85in models. This one’s designed with cinema in mind and that’s there the Quantum Dot technology shows what it’s really made of. Twin Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos certifications ensure that you’re always looking at the very best picture and have the audio to match.
Besides giving new meaning to the term ‘home theatre’, the C645 also has something for the gamers. A 120Hz Game Accelerator mode gives you smoother frames throughout, positioning this cinephile set at the crossroads between pure and interactive entertainment.
