Tomorrow evening will see Samsung launch its very first Unpacked event of the year. We, along with the rest of the world, are reasonably certain we know what will turn up at the event but nothing’s written in stone. Not yet, anyway.
Rumours for Samung’s upcoming smartphones — the company likes to start the year strong — have been floating around since late last year. The demise of the flagship Exynos is all but certain in the Galaxy S23 lineup but there’s more to be confirmed.
Watch the S23 Unpacked
Of course, in order to confirm all that, you’ll have to tune in to one of several venues. The easiest place to check out what Samsung will announce this February is the company’s YouTube account. The Unpacked live stream will appear there. If you like your first-hand information with an added side of advertising pressure, you can also tune in on Samsung’s website.
If you’re a ‘just the facts’ sort of person, you could eschew both of those and check out Stuff‘s coverage right here on this website tomorrow evening. Prefer your news in bite-sized chunks after business hours? Then Stuff‘s Twitter account is the place for you to be.
What to expect
Plenty is already known about Samsung’s Unpacked reveal this year, if the various leaks that have taken place in the past month are any indication. Product images, showing the design of the base model Galaxy S23, have turned up online. There’s also a very strong possibility that Samsung has customised its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for this release. For the bragging rights, you know?
Finally, just about every spec concerning the Galaxy S23 Ultra showed up in December last year. This means that Samsung’s going to have its work cut out announcing anything surprising at tomorrow night’s event. Can they do it? That all depends. All will be revealed from 20:00 tomorrow evening. Watch it on your preferred platform or let us do it for you. Either way, there’s a new batch of Samsung smartphones on the horizon.
