Here’s how to watch the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix 2022 for free

It’s been forever since Formula One fans got their last F1 Sunday fix. It’s finally time for the tremors to stop. F1 screeches off this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

Loads of South Africans bailed on their DSTV subscriptions due to Covid 19. F1 fans in the know have turned to F1 TV Pro. The streaming service gives subscribers access to Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, and Porche Supercup live streams. Also expect a few extras; like onboard cameras, live streams, etc.

An F1 TV Pro subscription costs about R75/m ($5). But, F1 fans, currently there is a seven-day free trial available. That means, if you sign up on Sunday morning (except if you really want to see the Qualifying Round on Saturday) your trial will last you until next Sunday (27 March) for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. That’s how you get two races for one seven-day trial. Genius.

If you want to try out F1 TV Pro, head here, and sign up for the trial. It’ll require credit card info, and you’ll probably keep paying for it for the remainder of the season. But that’s kinda the point of the trial.

    What to expect

Max Verstappen is set to defend his title as World Champion, and Lewis Hamilton is looking for redemption to claim an eighth F1 title. Ferrari is looking fast and Mercedes is sort of worried. McLaren seems optimistic about its new aerodynamic designs with ground effect built into the car’s floor. We might see Haas bring their A-game this year as the cars are looking pretty good in testing. Russel has replaced Bottas at Mercedes — everyone is waiting to see how he will stack up against Hamilton, and if he’ll be fighting with Hamilton (or be allowed to). This season might just drive us mad.
