The Games of the XXXII Olympiad, or the 2020 Summer Olympics — as normal people call them — are nearly upon us. No, you haven’t accidentally initiated your flux-capacitor and gone back in time, they’re this year.
If you’ve been living under a rock for the last year or so there’s a global pandemic going on, which necessitated the postponement of the games that were originally scheduled to take place last year in Tokyo. Those games are now, well not now, but soon.
Showmax me how to watch the Olympics
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will run from 23 July to 8 August (2021) and now, for the first time, you can stream them live with Showmax Pro. You’ll need a Showmax Pro account, an internet-connected device and a stable internet connection. For your device, we recommend a PC or laptop, but if you want to use something else then check the FAQ section to see if it’s supported.
This move follows the streaming service adding the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament (again, this year) as an offering to Pro subscribers.
Marc Jury, SuperSport CEO, says, “There is no bigger – or better – [a] celebration of sport than the Olympic Games. It’s wonderful theatre, particularly at a time when we need to be entertained, and we look forward to the best-ever broadcast offering.”
