The pre-E3 reveal train keeps on rolling with Battlefield 6 set to join the likes of Horizon Forbidden West, Far Cry 6 and Sonic The Hedgehog – who have all seen reveals over the last week or so.
The latest instalment in EA’s military shooter franchise will be shown off next week Wednesday (9th June 2021) at 10 am EDT (that would be 4 pm local time).
The announcement was made on the franchise’s official Twitter account, with an accompanying teaser.

What to expect from the next Battlefield
Eagle-eyed readers will note that Stuff has tagged the game with a numerical entry in its title, but the truth is, no one knows with the game’s going to be called at this stage – whether it’s going to have a number or subtitle assigned hasn’t been confirmed.
What we do know is that DICE Studio Head Oskar Gabrielson has described the new game as being a “bold step” for the franchise that will take everything about it to “the next level”.
“[It has] Epic scale. All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Game-changing destruction. Massive battles, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before. All brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs,” Gabrielson wrote in a blog post back in April.
On top of that, some leaked video footage back in May seems to point to either a modern-day or a near-future setting for the game – an assumption backed up by the music in the above teaser, which sounds like Nine Inch Nails clearing the dust out of a sound bank.
