In case you’re in the dark about Ubisoft’s latest instalment in its first-person-shooter (FPS) open-world RPG franchise, the game is set on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, which is run by a stone-faced despot named Antón Cast, who is played by Giancarlo Esposito (he of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fame).
Players take on the role of a rebel on the island with designs on toppling Cast and winning freedom for their people.
We’re going to go ahead and assume that the gameplay for this entry in the series will be pretty similar to those of others – ya know, crafting, shooting, driving, shooting, hunting, shooting, flying, shooting and the like. The Wikipedia page alludes to a new feature called “Guns For Hire”, which allows players to hire ‘Amigos’ to help them bring Cast’s regime down.
The gameplay reveal can be watched on Ubisoft’s Twitch, Xbox’s Twitch and YouTube. If you can’t be bothered to click on those links, press play on the player below.
