If you thought the whole COVID-19 pandemic was just starting to ease its grasp on humanity, looks like we have something new to stress about. We’re not talking about boring stuff like the economy, we’re talking about the “confirmed” existence of aliens. Spooky!
One can only imagine that after this news broke a few hours ago, a whole commune of alien-obsessed nuts camping in the valleys of the Nevada desert all but broke down in tears as the existence of extra-terrestrial life was confirmed for everyone to see, now impossible to deny. At least, that’s probably the angle they’re running with. For everyone else, the declassification of official UFO footage should act as nothing more than an interesting little conspiracy because, as we should all know, just because something’s “official” doesn’t make it true.
The Pentagon, those folks responsible for keeping the United States safe, released three clips of unidentified objects doing their business in our skies. They’re certainly authentic clips but whether or not they actually contain footage of real aliens is highly debatable. You can hear the pilots witnessing the phenomena comment on how fast they’re moving and they sound audibly shaken but the video footage isn’t exactly clear.
Sue Gough, spokesperson for The Pentagon, told CNN, “After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”
Maybe we’re being cynical about it, so please don’t let us crush your hopes, true believers. The footage is still pretty cool (and kinda spooky) but whether or not they contain actual aliens? That’s still up for debate.
