All new BMW vehicles are available with a wide range of professional Driver Assist systems. They guarantee the maximum possible safety and comfort at all times, leaving you to concentrate on what is important – carefree driving pleasure.
HEAD-UP, EYES FRONT
The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects information relevant to the journey directly in the driver’s line of sight, thereby allowing them to fully concentrate on driving. The display includes information such as the current speed, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info along with telephone and entertainment lists.
DRIVING ASSISTANT
The Driving Assist equipment includes camera-based driver assistance systems, such as Lane Departure Warning (which causes the steering wheel to vibrate when the lane is unintentionally changed at 70km/h or over), Approach control warning, anti-dazzle high-beam assist and Speed Limit Info.
DO GO CHANGING
At 20 km/h or faster, the radar-based Lane Change Warning detects approaching vehicles in the blind spot or in the neighbouring lane. The driver is alerted to the presence of vehicles in the critical zone by a triangular warning symbol on the exterior mirrors, and a vibration of the steering wheel if they try to change lanes.
PARK YOUR RIDE
The Parking Assist makes parallel parking easier. The system measures potential parking spaces. When a large enough gap has been found, the driver simply turns on the indicator and the Parking Assist takes over the steering, while the driver continues to operate the accelerator, gears and brakes.
