You'll often catch me dreaming of a Wind Waker remaster. Or sleeping. One of the two.

Uber Eats, Uber’s food delivery service is looking to expand. No, not by adding more restaurants into the mix. But by becoming a ‘virtual mall’ that’ll sell more than just non-food items. The best part? The company intends to have these deliveries at your door in 30 minutes or less. Gobbling up the market “We’re bringing women’s comfort wear, we’re looking into apparel, but we also want to expand more into verticals such as books, stationery, because we find that those do really well. Microsoft is nearing the finish line of its purchase of Activision Blizzard, as both companies await regulatory approval. Once it has approval, Microsoft will be the new owner of Activision, along with the underlying IP that comes with it. Call of Duty will be under Microsoft’s control – which has unsurprisingly upset Sony. Keeping Call of Duty on PlayStation is a must in Sony’s eyes. It’s worked closely with Activision in the past and would like to keep that streak going. Microsoft and Sony are currently in discussions about extending the current marketing deal. And Sony isn’t happy about it.…

The coveted Twitter ‘edit button’ is officially on its way, confirmed last week by the big Blue Bird itself. If you’ve tweeted before, you’ll know the pain of spotting a typo just milliseconds after it goes live. Then you’re required to shamefully delete the tweet and start over – with a keener eye than before. Or, you could just leave it for the world to see. Own it. This shouldn’t be a worry for much longer after the edit button rolls out to Twitter’s users (we hope). See, the feature is only available to Twitter Blue subscribers at the moment.…

Sony is releasing a Grey Camouflage range of PS5 peripherals, recolouring the DualSense, Pulse headset, and the console’s side plates. PlayStation’s grey area “The PlayStation design team reimagined our camouflage pattern to reflect a fresher, more contemporary feel. If you look…

Last year saw an update to Google Maps that added an eco-friendly navigator, which chooses a different route if it can save fuel (or electricity). The update was first released in the U.S and Canada, with Google officially announcing the feature is coming to “nearly” 40 European countries in a few weeks. Hitting the European market isn’t the only change. Google is adding an option to tell Maps what sort of car you’re in, whether it’s petrol, diesel, hybrid, or fully electric. You’ll see why in a second. OK Google, bring the update to South Africa Regardless of the type…

With the rise of business accounts across the platform, business operators are examining ways to separate their work and personal lives. That’s what WhatsApp is providing with its latest update. The pending update lets users assign chats to specific devices. LinkedUp As…

Maybe humanity is a little too hung up on AI taking over the world. Yes, it’s an issue – but one for the future. Humanity needs to survive the uprising of cyber cockroaches and no, we didn’t make that term up. We did make up the part about them taking over the world though. We can’t say for sure that they won’t, but we can make a pretty good guess. Scientists have too far this time around, creating cyborg cockroaches that are powered by the sun. Why? Science hopes to use its newfound army for search and rescue missions and…

WhatsApp group admins felt a sudden surge of power on 1 September when an update gave them the ability to delete messages for everyone in a group. The idea was for admins to keep the peace in group chats – mainly ones that are open to the public. Emma Sadleir Berkowitz, a South African social media law expert, is warning South African WhatsApp admins about a potential legal concern involving the update. Watch your back According to Berkowitz, the update is far more important than initially believed. For years, debates have argued whether a group admin should be held responsible…
