Bentley’s first EV will be crazy powerful, says Bentley CEO The Bentley EXP 100 concept Bentley’s first EV, planned for a 2025 release, will reportedly offer 1,400 horses of power and 0 – 100km/h acceleration in 1.5 seconds. If those numbers are to be believed then this future Bentley would be one of the fastest vehicles on the planet. It currently trounces the fastest passenger EVs, the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance with 1,020hp and 1,111hp respectively. At least on paper, anyway. And that acceleration won’t even be the main headline, according to Bentley’s…

There have been a few whispers floating around about a revival of Marvel’s Daredevil ever since Disney+ came about. It was stated, though it needn’t’ve been, that all Marvel content would move over to the platform. This was probably a factor in Netflix’s decision to cancel the show after three well-received seasons. Those whispers got a little louder with the release of Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home last year. Those titles saw Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox reprise their roles as Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock respectively. You don’t get to destroy Daredevil Some recent news from Variety makes…

Stuff says –  4/5 So you’re looking to buy a new desktop. The first choice you’ll need to make is whether you want to build it yourself or ask someone else nicely (using money) to build it for you. If you opt to build it yourself, good for you. There’s a lot of enjoyment to be had if you’re the type of person that likes working with your hands. And if you have a touch of patience. If you’re scared you’ll muck it up or just couldn’t be arsed, then Asus’ built-to-order PCs might be worth looking into, especially…

Acer is bringing this new tech to its new Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition laptop and SpatialLabs View and SpatialLabs View Pro portable monitors. There aren’t many players in the portable monitor space. Lenovo, Dell, ViewSonic, and Asus all have something to offer. We’ve spent the last week or two with Asus’ latest, the ZenScreen. Specifically, the ZenScreen Go MB16AWP. Not to be confused with the ZenScreen Go MB16AHP, ZenScreen MB166C, ZenScreen MB16ACV, ZenScreen MB16AH, ZenScreen MB14AC… you get the idea. We’ve definitely seen a better naming scheme but have we seen a better portable monitor? Not really. It’s a little difficult to recommend because it’s not exactly cheap and there’s no touchscreen support, but if it’s been a good month and you’re looking…

Yesterday, Asus’ Republic of Gamers (ROG) gaming sub-brand announced its new Strix Scar 17 SE and Flow X16 gaming rigs. We had the chance to play with the previous model of the Strix Scar 17. We liked that one because it offered top-class performance at a relatively decent price point. That affordability has taken a backseat this time in favour of… more power. This might be in the running for the most powerful gaming machine your (bags of) money can buy. ROG has taken almost every aspect of the Strix Scar and made it faster. ‘Gotta go fast.’ – ROG…

Toyota has confirmed that at least one vehicle under its new all-electric sub-brand ‘bZ’ (beyond Zero) will make it to South Africa in 2023. That vehicle will be in the shape of an SUV, called the Toyota bZ4X. That shape might look familiar. That’s because Subaru is a technology partner, so the bZX4 is basically the same vehicle as the Subaru Solterra. Lexus will also share the EV platform. We wonder what they’ll call their version. The bZX4 will get its juice from a 71.4kWh battery from Panasonic. That should, according to Toyota, give you a range of around 450km.…

The search giant wrapped up its annual I/O 2022 conference last week. Apart from briefly mentioning half a dozen devices it plans to release in the next year or two, we also had a look at Google’s take on AR glasses. But something that slipped in under the radar was an online pinball game that the company released just before the conference started. I/O Pinball doesn’t cost money, only time The announcement came from Flutter’s…

The people behind the popular language-learning app, Duolingo, have decided to take language learning beyond the app. Well, that’s the case if you live in Pittsburgh, want to learn Spanish, and enjoy a good taco. The app is opening its own takeout-only restaurant called Duo’s Taquería. It’ll be run by acclaimed chef Marcella Ogrodnik. The menu at Duo’s will be inspired by Mexican cuisine. Specifically, street tacos made with nixtamalized heirloom corn, whatever that is. Pork, chorizo, and vegan options will also feature, as will sides and desserts. First, Duolingo. Then, we feast. Sure, you could just get something delivered…
