Aston Martin, as a brand, is synonymous with British engineering, James Bond, and high-speed performance. Also, video game gear. It makes perfect sense, then, that the company has teamed up with another British brand, Egg. Egg, as you may not be aware, manufactures baby gear.
And now, as the “official stroller partner of Aston Martin”, the companies intend to sell anyone with enough money the “ultimate luxury stroller.” What makes it the ultimate stroller, you ask? That’s an excellent question.
Aston Martin, baby
If you believe the marketing lingo, the new Aston Martin Egg3 stroller embodies Aston’s “passion for exceptional design, meticulous craftsmanship, and engineering excellence.” If you, like us, are more interested in specifics, we’ve got those for you too.
The Egg3 stroller (or pram, short for perambulator) features quilting and trim inspired by the DBX707‘s interior. Its wheel design is inspired by Aston’s Valour and Victor automobiles, which is something babies will definitely care about as they’re being wheeled from place to place against their will.
Three colourways with various leather trim options will be offered to well-heeled parents. As with any sports car, buyers can specify how they’d like their infant conveyance to look before it’s dispatched. A green and racing lime edition is coming, as are two grey versions. These carry accent options like Bitter Chocolate (leather) and Magneto Bronze (hard trim), so you know you’re getting your money’s worth.
The Aston Martin-partnered Egg3 is currently available for pre-order, with no specific pricing because, as with any luxury purchase, you’ll be able to select optional extras. The pre-order site does state that pricing will begin at R60,000 (£2,500). What? You thought this would somehow be affordable? We’re just surprised they’ve skipped airbags and TCS. Shipping is set for the end of 2025.
