We’re back and just a little ahead of schedule this time around. You might be accustomed to seeing Stuff‘s Gadget Awards issue in March, but we thought we’d change it up a little this year. But not too much. You’ll still find an issue of SA’s best technology magazine packed to the RAM modules with the very best gizmos, gadgets, and gewgaws (yes, that’s a real word), it’s just that this time around, we’re also giving away prizes to the tech that deserves it.
Obviously, our headliner for this issue is the tech across the gadget spectrum that was the very best of its type in 2025. Whether it’s the ubiquitous smartphone, the best TV (across various price categories), or the fun-filled Gadget of the Year award, you’ll want to see which of your tech, released in 2026, made it onto the winner’s podium. We’re sure you’re all above bragging to your mates, but come on… it’s a little fun pointing out that they bought a runner-up while you snagged the best in show.
Apple, like its competitors, tried something new this year by launching ultra-skinny smartphones as part of its regular release of highly prized mobile devices. We’ve gone in-depth on the iPhone Air, stopped over at the best of the iPhone 17 lineup, and even found the space and time to give Apple’s budget and mainline Watch products for 2025/2026 a once-over — all so you don’t have to. So, what’ll it be? Is the iPhone Air (and friends) worthy of your time and money?
Speaking of time, it’s long past time to upgrade that thing on your arm. No, not the weird growth with the hairs sticking out of it (you should get that checked), we’re talking about your wristwatch. These critters aren’t smart, except in the traditional sense that they’ll look damned good living just above your hand where a sneaky sleeve shake will expose your amazing taste, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider one. Whether it’s ocean-friendly materials or just some wickedly tasteful design, you’ll find ten excellent options in the Jan-Feb 2026 edition of Stuff Magazine.
Want more than watches, new iPhones, and the 2025 Gadget Awards? We, as ever, have you covered. More tests than you can watch a fattened wallet at, including premium 4K TVs, a colour Kindle you can scribble in, and a host of our usual tips (lists, yay!), history lessons, and a surprising amount of information about ninjas is contained in the Jan-Feb 2026 issue of Stuff. Get yours today, either at retail or online. The latter choice gives you options, but we’d obviously prefer it if you bought it directly from us.
