At Stuff, we’re big fans of Rocket League. We’re also fans of CRKD, makers of exquisite Nintendo controllers and… Guitar Hero tech. So when the company announced it was celebrating the game’s tenth anniversary with a gorgeous themed Neo S controller, a bit of tech we’re already rather fond of, we lost our heads a little.
Knock knock, Neo (S)
This time, CRKD has slathered the Neo S’ translucent body in a dark blue hue, complementing the gold accents coating the shoulders, offset thumbsticks, and D-pad. As much as this is a celebration of Rocket League turning ten, the big focus here is its collaboration with Monstercat, whose EDM tunes have been a staple in the car soccer community since 2017.
CRKD hasn’t skimped on the insides either. Joining the Hall Effect sticks is the option to play either wired or wireless, with two additional (and remappable) buttons on its rear, a 3.5mm headphone jack, decent vibration, and properly tactile triggers, something Nintendo’s official kit has lacked in the past.

CRKD’s Neo S controllers may be destined for a date with a Nintendo Switch (or Switch 2), but it’ll also hook up to Windows/Mac PCs, smartphones, tablets, and even smart TVs. You’ll need the CRKD app too, which’ll allow players to remap almost any of the buttons on the controller to make that Smash Bros. competition that much sweatier.
If the Goat Simulator Neo S is any indication, you’re getting a fair bit of bang for your buck. The controller is currently listed at R1,080 on CRKD’s website, and comes with a custom charging base, carry bag, charging cable, and the Neo S itself. Pre-orders are already live, with CRKD expecting orders to ship in October.
