Meta’s less-social chatting platform WhatsApp Business is working on a “Status Archive” feature that will save content creators and businesses a bit of time.
The feature, as you might have guessed from the name, allows users to save statuses and repost them at a later stage. This is expected to save business owners from having to recreate the same posts to their profile’s WhatsApp status from scratch when trying to sell or market their products and services on the platform.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is currently rolling out the new feature to WhatsApp Business for Android beta testers. The feature is expected to be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks.
The feature will be compatible with WhatsApp on Android 2.23.11.18 and newer versions of the app.

WhatsApp Business users can expect a notification message once they finally get the new feature. If a user opts to activate the archiving functionality, the status will then be saved on the device after 24 hours. Status updates will remain on the device for 30 days. Users will also be able to share the status updates on Meta’s social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
The archived status will be kept private and only visible to the device owner until they decide to repost them for their customers or clients.
Meta has been on a quest to boost WhatsApp Business with features designed to improve the way in which businesses communicate with customers.
