‘Tis the day of deals – some that actually save you money, and some that charge you more (you know who you are, the company formerly known as Kalahari). Yes, Black Friday! Fortunately, the former applies to Vuma’s Black Friday weekend deals – only available from today, 25 November, until 28 November.
Aside from the deals – which we’ll get into – if you order over Black Friday weekend, you’ll be able to get three months free (available with specific ISPs). Go check them out.
Always check the Ts and Cs
Stuff was sent a list of deals from Vuma’s website. They’re good deals, sure. But after browsing Vuma’s site for ourselves, we found better deals just sitting there, awaiting a new customer.
- 100Mbps/100Mbps – pricing starting at R500/m (Vodacom) month-to-month (first three months free)
- 200Mbps/200Mbps – prices starting at R600/m (Vodacom) 12-month contract
- 500Mbps/200Mbps – prices starting at R700/m (Vodacom) 12-month contract
But if you stay away from the Vodacom packages, you’re likely to find far better deals. On the front page alone, we encountered deals that offered 100Mbps/100Mbps for R420 (is it that time already?) for the first 24 months. And… it’s also free for the first three months.

Turn your eyes to the right, and you’ll find a deal that offers 100Mbps/100Mbps for R450/m with no dodgy hidden Ts and Cs (that we can see). And again – this one is free for the first three months. Try and tell us these aren’t better deals than those listed above.
We understand that if you’re a Vodacom employee you need to rep your company. But for everyone else… check out all the deals on offer before making a hasty decision. Just don’t make the same mistake we did. Some “deals” sounds far too good because they are. Always check the Ts and Cs. Or else.
