Evetech
As one of the most prominent tech retailers in the country, it should be no surprise that Evetech has some juicy tech deals running for the duration of Comic Con Africa. If you want to have a look at some of the devices and components on offer you can at the Evetech booth. But if traveling isn’t your thing, you aren’t attending CCA this year, or you’ve already been and gone, we’ve got some good news. Evetech’s Comic Con Sale is also taking place on its website. There’s something for everyone on offer but two that caught our eye were the LG 32GN600 gaming monitor and the Palit GeForce RTX 3090 GamingPro graphics card.
The former is a 32in 1440p high refresh rate (165Hz) gaming monitor and the latter is one of the most powerful graphics cards available on the market. The LG monitor usually goes for around R6,500 but you can get one from Evetech during the CCA sale for R5,500. When they first came out, RTX 3090s were selling for around R50,000. During the CCA sale, you can pick the Palit card up for just R21,000. A steal, if you’ve got that kind of cash. If you do want to cash in on anything on offer we’d suggest you don’t think about it too long. Evetech told us that stock is moving fast.
Nanoleaf
Here at Stuff, we’ve always been fans of the Nanoleaf range, even before they were officially available in South Africa. We tested out the Hexagon and Triangle starter kits recently and we found that while they might be a bit pricey for some, they add an extra layer of customizability to any room in your house that other products – like a smart bulb – struggle to match. Luckily for you, and anyone else interested, the Rectron stand at CCA has them for less. Normally, you’d pay R3,680 for either starter kit. At CCA, they can be had for R3,300. What will you do with your change?
Zapa Gaming
Zapa Gaming is the only booth at CCA this year with PlayStation 5 consoles on sale. Or so they tell us. That wouldn’t be a big deal by itself, you can get Sony’s newest console from most online retailers if you’re patient enough. The big reason to get yourself down to the Joburg Expo Centre and find Zapa Gaming’s booth is that they’re offering bundles that seem too good to be true.
The best-looking bundle nets you a disc version PS5, two controllers, a charging dock for said controllers, the official PS Pulse 3D headset, and three games (pictured). Normally for all that you’d need to cough up around R20,000. Zapa Gaming has shaved R3,000 off that price. But, as with most good deals, stock is limited. You’ll need to be fast to secure yours.
