The UEFA Champions League is back, and you can catch it on Showmax Pro, or DStv’s SuperSport. The competition kicks off on 6 September, with Chelsea and Dinamo Zagreb getting the action started at 18:45 South African Standard Time.
The Champioooooonnns
All the matches will be shown live – every group stage, every quarter-final, semi-final, and of course the finale. Which is where we’ll potentially see Manchester Uni… oh. This isn’t the UEFA Europa League. Well then, a likelier final could potentially see Manchester City get their first win in the Champions League. If the team still can’t manage it with the help of Erling Haaland, then a higher power doesn’t want it to happen.
Stopping Real Madrid won’t be an easy task though. The club is coming off its 14th Champions League title win, the most any club has had in history. Real Madrid’s frontman, Karim Benzema, is in the form of his life.
The groups taking on the title this year are;
- Group A: AFC Ajax, Liverpool, S.S.C Napoli, Rangers F.C
- Group B: FC Porto, Atlético Madrid, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Club Brugge
- Group C: Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Viktoria Plzen
- Group D: Eintracht Frankfurt, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Sporting CP, Olympique de Marseille
- Group E: AC Milan, Chelsea FC, FC Red Bull Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb FC
- Group F: Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, Celtic FC
- Group G: Manchester City, Sevilla FC, Borussia Dortmund, FC Copenhagen
- Group H: Paris Saint-Germain FC, Juventus FC, SL Benfica, Maccabi Haifa FC
The matches aren’t only returning for South African Showmax Pro subscribers. Watchers from Mauritius and Lesotho can access the games live too.
The UEFA Champions is one of the many footballing leagues Showmax Pro has access to. Subscribers have access to the English Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, and plenty more. Access to football and other sports comes in a cheaper package than that of DStv, making it the cheapest legal way of watching sports.
