Telkom VS Gaming is providing this year’s gaming entertainment at Comic Con Africa

This September, Stuff is taking on the now-annual Comic Con Africa. It’s a weekend full of artists, pop culture, cosplay, and every other nerd-thing under the sun. And of course, gaming. Comic Con Africa has partnered with Telkom VS Gaming to become the main source of “gaming and connectivity” throughout the four-day event.

If you aren’t familiar, Telkom VS Gaming is perhaps the largest online tournament hub South Africa has to offer. And it won’t be any different during this year’s Comic Con. There’ll be plenty of events and prizes to look forward to.

This year’s Comic Con will see plenty of tournaments to support. If you’re into Counter-Strike: GO, Rocket League, or FIFA, you’ll be well taken care of. Over the four days, we’ll see the Telkom VS Gaming Masters; a competition between the best Counter-Strikers in SA. The VS Gaming Championship will see some of the best Rocket League aerials and own-goals ever made on the big screen. eDiski showcases South Africa’s five-star football players in a FIFA tournament. Bringing up the rear is the High School eSport League Finals – a mix of games that cater to everyone.

“Through our vision as Telkom, we have seen competitiveness in esports continue to grow from strength to strength. This has allowed us to showcase the world of gaming to SA by giving more people the opportunity to entrench themselves in this world and participate. We are very proud to be partnering with Comic Con Africa and believe such partnerships shines the spotlight on esports and drives the industry forward”, says Wanda Mkhize, Telkom VS Gaming spokesperson.
