After a short two-year break from hosting its physical event, the rAge expo returns this year.
South Africans have come to expect a certain standard where the rAge Expo is concerned. For 2022 (in December this time, away from that… other… convention), the brand promises “… esports clashes, coding workshops, game jams, culture influencers, festive season retail specials, the exciting world of smart home technology, robotics and 4IR”. Hopefully, that’ll tickle your gaming fancy.
If you’re looking to get in on the action, you’re in luck. Tickets are already on sale.
rAge didn’t quit
rAge will feature more than 100 exhibitors, each bringing a unique experience for different fans to enjoy. Instead of just a straight-up gaming event, the event’s organisers are fielding a much broader experience. VR, gaming, case-modding, smart home tech, robotics, cosplay, and more will be on the cards.
The rAge Expo takes place from Friday, 9 December to Sunday, 11 December. Tickets cost as little as R160 if you’re buying them in the initial wave. This covers entrance for a full day at the event. Phase 2 tickets cost R175, while day-of tickets will sting you for R190.
Weekend Passes are available too, starting at R360. Wait for Phase 2 and Weekend Passes cost R390. Wait until the weekend of, and you’ll wind up paying R570 to get in over three days.
Unsurprisingly, the event is being held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The Dome has been repurposed to sell cars or something. There’s also news pending about the rAge LAN, which generally draws a very dedicated crowd. Information concerning that will, according to the event’s Twitter, turn up at a later stage.
