If you had something important that you needed to watch on DStv today then you better hope you aren’t one of the customers affected by the current ongoing system outage. If you are, then you have our deepest sympathies.
Some people were quick to voice their frustrations on social media as early as 9 am.
@DStv good day.
I have E32-4 error on my decoder and I tried to fix it on the app, but it is not working. It still displays the error— 🇿🇦SA Girl🇿🇦 (@SAGirl996) August 3, 2021
@DStv I've been trying to reason with Twitter people from @DStvCare but they've chosen to pose as bots so here's what I'll do, I'll watch DStv from a friend's account for free through DSTV now until you guys decide that you still want me as a customer or not.

Come on DStv – people need their TV
According to TimesLive a Multichoice spokesperson, Sbu Mpungose, said they were experiencing a system-wide issue and it was under investigation.
Not long after that, the broadcaster took to Twitter to reassure customers that it was aware of the problem and that it was working on it.
We are currently experiencing a system outage that is affecting some DStv customers attempting to view programming. Our service agents will not be able to assist with reconnections until the outage is resolved. We are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible. pic.twitter.com/Dxt5OMeDtV

At the time of writing, the problem is still ongoing with no word yet from the company on a possible timeframe for a resolution. If you are one of the affected and are eager to get back to your precious viewing then keep your eyes on DStv’s Twitter feed, they could be posting the all-clear any second now.
