Watch Parties on Twitch launched towards the end of last year. They allow streamers to host group viewing sessions for movies and series available on Amazon Prime but, until recently, it was only available to desktop users. Now Jeff Bezos has decreed that it should be available on Android and iOS devices as well, and so it is.
Watch Parties are now rolling out on an Android or iOS device near you.

How to watch someone watch something on Twitch
However, before you start weeping with joy at the good-willingness of Bezos and run off to join your favourite streamer, it’s worth noting that you’ll only be able to do so if you and the streamer both have Amazon Prime subscriptions. For your first time join, you’ll also need to enable Prime Video playback on your device.
We’re not entirely sure why Amazon has taken this long to get watch parties working on mobile devices, or why they still haven’t enabled watch parties (or similar functionality) in the Prime Video app on mobile.
If you’ve already spent that $12.99 (R186) on Amazon Prime, then why not head over to the dedicated watch party section and join a random streamer streaming some arbitrary show only they and maybe two other people like. That’s one way to try new things.
