March will seemingly be a big month for Oppo as reports have come in that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will be launching a supposedly next-gen smartphone. Leaks have begun to spill out on the internet that Oppo’s next major phone will be the Find X3 range which will consist of four different models, namely the Find X3, Find X3 Pro, Find X3 Neo, and Find X3 Lite. What exactly are these phones looking to find? Well, that’s a good question and one that we’ll do our best to ask Oppo if these leaks turn out to be true.
Speaking of the leaks, the information on the Find X3 series was first posted by Jon Prosser, a notable leaker (ew) who’s had a fair share of correct predictions in the past. Prosser tweeted out images of the devices alongside some minor details of what we can expect in terms of launches and announcements. We can apparently expect Oppo to announce the phones on 11 March, while pre-orders open on 31 March followed by the full launch on 14 April.

Oppo-tunity knocks
While we have an actual visual of the Find X3 series, we don’t really have much beyond that. We can see that all four versions of the device have four camera sensors elevated by a rather unconventional camera bump. Honestly, we don’t know if we even like it. It’s like a literal bump on the back of the phone rather than an elevated platform to fit the cameras on. Perhaps we’re being too critical but the sloping edges just don’t sit right with us.
We’ll be looking forward to see if this leak pans out as accurate. With Oppo having launched into South Africa for the first time towards the end of last year, we’d like to see if the Find X3 range eventually drops in our lovely little country. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date with any new developments regarding local availability when we find out.
