Ever since Motorola announced it’s bringing the Razr back, we can’t help but think back to Mxiting on our hella fly pink Razr flip-phone. Finally, we’ll be able to relive the good ol’ days, albeit with emails and spreadsheets this time around.
The new Razr will retain its predecessor’s form factor, but on the inside you’ll find a 6.2in folding OLED display, spanning from top to bottom. Or, that’s what the leaked images suggest at least. Last night we saw official-looking images of the new Razr leak online. Leaked images from Evleaks(his account is on private rn) suggest the phone will retain its memorable design, complete with the big chin down below.
We just wanna answer the phone by flipping it open dramatically
It also looks like Moto will include a smaller display (and a fingerprint reader?) on the outer display, which is a nice touch. We’re hoping the outer display looks better than the Galaxy Fold’s misplaced outer screen.
Some earlier leaks suggest the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It could have a 2,730 mAh battery (Hmmmm… hope that’s enough for a bunch of screens) and 128GB of storage. It’ll also cost… a lot ($1,500). As expected. We may soon be required to take out bank loans to own foldable display phones?
We know that the phone will be announced on 13 November (so, in two weeks). Interestingly, Samsung recently teased a foldable phone that looks very similar to the clamshell form factor on the Razr. Some competition perhaps? If Moto’s strategy is to rely on nostalgia alone, it’ll win hands-down.
