You might think that the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home is going to be a light-hearted affair. And, since Spider-Man is in it, you’d mostly be right. But there’s the little matter of the event of Avengers: Endgame to contend with. Yes, Tom Holland prefaces this trailer with a warning about Endgame spoilers and they’re… substantial. If you’ve managed to avoid spoilers so far, take Tom’s advice and avoid watching the trailer below.
If you’ve already seen Endgame, by all means, hit Play. But if you’re keen on the upcoming Spider-sequel and don’t want Marvel’s current film spoiled, you can check out most of the details below. In text. It’s not quite the same but hey, we live to serve.
How Mysterio-s
Avengers: Endgame will have a substantial impact on Far From Home and, we suspect, the other films in the Marvel project. This much is obvious from the trailer but it’s not going to be the only factor in play. Spider-Man/Peter Parker has a whole lot to deal with, from those weighty responsibilities we keep hearing about to creating a decent work-life balance. That’s a difficult thing for an adult to have to cope with. A kid… even more so. Especially when Mysterio is about.
Something we can be a lot less vague about are the costumes. There are several iconic suits on show — the smart fabric suit seen in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as the Iron Spider suit seen in Homecoming and Avengers Infinity War. There’s also a little something you might be familiar with from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse — the Spider-Man Noir suit. Since Spidey is going to be exploring London for this one, we suspect that the outfit is well… er… suited for this outing.
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theatres from 2 July this year. It might be a good idea to watch Endgame before then. Just sayin’.
