You'll often catch me dreaming of a Wind Waker remaster. Or sleeping. One of the two.

When the Springboks take on the Azzurri at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, 12 July, you won’t need a subscription to MultiChoice’s legacy broadcaster or a ticket to see the match unfold live. The SABC is finally living up to its name, having secured the broadcasting rights to the Boks’ second test match of the season. Oh, and it’s free on SABC Plus. Keeping hope alive for SABC “The broadcast agreement has been reached in recognition of the historic nature of this particular match, which will mark the 30th anniversary of the Springboks’ historic 1995 Rugby World Cup…

Easily one of the most integral features tied to Nintendo’s Switch Online service was the Game Vouchers feature, available for $100 (R1,860), which allowed subscribers to select any two titles from the company’s list of eligible games and save a few bucks at the same time. No longer, folks. Nintendo is discontinuing Game Vouchers as of January 2026. Gone, but not forgotten Specifically, 30 January 2026. That does at least leave customers some time to pick up one (or eight) Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers before the shutdown. Nintendo hasn’t stated why it’s removing the feature, but the answer is an…

If you’re one of the few people who picked up Apple’s take on a mixed reality headset when it first launched the Vision Pro in 2024, you’re probably still paying off the debt and aren’t all that interested in an upgrade. For the rest of you who spent the time saving up, you’ll be glad to know Apple is readying a second-gen model for the headset, featuring an upgraded chipset and small tweaks that’ll mean fewer calls to the local chiropractor. No Electric Booglaoo? It’s important to note that this isn’t a proper ‘Vision Pro 2’. According to a report…

At Stuff, we’re big fans of Rocket League. We’re also fans of CRKD, makers of exquisite Nintendo controllers and… Guitar Hero tech. So when the company announced it was celebrating the game’s tenth anniversary with a gorgeous themed Neo S controller, a bit of tech we’re already rather fond of, we lost our heads a little. Knock knock, Neo (S) This time, CRKD has slathered the Neo S’ translucent body in a dark blue hue, complementing the gold accents coating the shoulders, offset thumbsticks, and D-pad. As much as this is a celebration of Rocket League turning ten, the big focus here…

The dust has settled on Samsung’s second Unpacked event for 2025, which paved the way for its new AI-packed Fold and Flip 7 foldables. Almost as an afterthought, we also got a look at the South Korean outfit’s new wearables: the Galaxy Watch 8 Series. Unsurprisingly, Samsung’s 2025 wearables features even more AI, more health tech, and most importantly, the return of the rotating bezel. The company also took the opportunity to debut a hardly refreshed Galaxy Watch Ultra. We’ll give it about as much fanfare as Samsung did. Alongside a new colour (Titanium Blue!), the company also added more…

After a rough month for South African motorists, early petrol price forecasts courtesy of the Central Energy Fund (CEF) tell us the price hikes aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. For some drivers, anyway. According to the CEF’s latest predictive snapshot (captured 8 July 2025), diesel drivers are due for yet another hefty price hike at the pumps this August, while petrol drivers may just be in for a 20c/l treat instead. Diesel drivers, listen up Of course, we should mention that these figures are not final and are subject to change. The CEF, an energy company reporting to the Department…

While we all wait for Naughty Dog’s next big thing, the nearly forty-year-old gaming company has kept itself busy on what is arguably its magnum opus, The Last of Us Part II Remastered. While many criticised the content contained within the sprawling storyline, a few took issue with the oftentimes choppy, non-linear storytelling. If they did, they probably just weren’t paying attention. Either way, Naughty Dog has delivered yet another update for Part II that’ll allow players to experience the game chronologically, as never before. The new ‘Chronological mode’ is part of a free update, reserved for owners of the…

Nobody is denying that the Apple Pencil is one of the best touchscreen stylus devices around, offering an uncanny tactile feel that you’ll seldom find elsewhere. But after Apple threw a USB-C port in, it begged the question: what’s next? According to a fresh patent filed by Apple, a Pencil that’ll work just about anywhere, no screen required. Proper pencil-pusher Yesterday, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple a patent that mentions this next-generation leap for the Apple Pencil, mentioning the addition of optical sensors and a trackball that would enable the device to work without a touch-sensitive screen…

Home internet provider Rain is running low on internet karma, so it’s got a wacky solution to get back into the good graces of the news cycle after it hiked prices back in June. What’s the grand idea? Release the Loop router, which isn’t so much a router as it is an Android tablet masquerading as an innocent internet device. We think. Rain envisions its customers taking the Loop with them wherever they go, first as a portable internet solution (although leaving it at home is just as acceptable), and a pair of stereo speakers second. It’s even got a…

An Apple M5 a day Like clockwork, Apple has its sights set on releasing a new M5 chipset, developed in-house, which is reportedly being made with TSMC’s third-gen 3nm process. That should provide just enough of a boost to performance and battery life to justify Apple’s next round of products. You know the drill by now, right? You can probably expect the new M5 chip to be available in most of Apple’s devices over the coming year, but according to MacRumors, five products are set to get the upgrade as soon as this year. One of those is a new…
