WhatsApp is working on an update that allows WhatsApp group admins to delete messages for everyone, whether the original sender likes it or not. The feature is currently in the beta stage, allowing a select few admins access to such power. WhatsApp, Dog? WABetaInfo was the first to spot the news, letting us know that the feature had reached the beta phase. Usually, this means the feature is past the point where it could be discarded out of hand. Even so, don’t put it past Meta to stop developing a feature halfway through. Deleting messages in a group could go…

On the subject of gaming headsets, Razer is often included in the top three brands – or is at least mentioned in the conversation. Over the past week, we’ve used the Razer Kaira Pro – PlayStation Edition, and they’re what you’d expect from a Razer headset. When Razers cans are brought up, it’s usually to say; “Woah! These headphones are sick! But why are you using them to watch Teletubbies? You’re 21 years old–” That’s usually when they stop talking. But we can confirm that yes, the Razer Kaira Pro headphones are indeed “sick!”. The Razer Kaira Pro for the…
Following the launch of its Branch Appointment Booking System (BABS), the Department of Home Affairs is upgrading the service to offer 56 branches. This is up from the 28 it offered before. The extension brings the system to all nine provinces, though there are still plenty of branches left to add. BABS has already garnered 115,329 users since its debut in June, said Dept. Minister Aaron Motsoaledi. But that was just a trial period. Now that BABS has completed that trial phase, Home Affairs should see an uptick in the number of users. Find the newly-supported branches nearest you over…
If you’re an Android user, you’ve definitely encountered a knockoff app on the Google Play Store before (sorry Huawei users). Whether it’s a Clash of Clans rip-off, or ‘Google Maps Navigator’ – whatever that is – you’ve come across them. Well, that may not be the case for much longer. Google is making changes to its policies, fixing some of the major issues with the store. Goodbye 30-second ads In Google’s updated Developer Program Policy, we can see the changes coming to the store over the coming months. It’s tackling plenty of problems, like; misinformation, impersonation (copycat apps) and perhaps…
The past decade has seen music streaming become the most popular way of finding new artists and music to listen to. Spotify and Apple Music have been at the top for years. YouTube Music slowly grew into third place. Nobody new has broken into that top three – but that could be about to change. TikTok owner ByteDance has filed a trademark application in the U.S for something known as ‘TikTok Music’. Like, comment, and subscribe Insider suggests that TikTok Music would allow users to “purchase, play, share, download music, songs, albums, lyrics… live stream audio and video… edit and upload…
For the past week, we’ve been reviewing the Netogy Nova 4K UHD Streaming Box. And it’s been a wonderful week with it. South Africans really dig streaming boxes for some reason. Maybe that’s because smart TVs are still quite expensive. Whatever the reason, the Nova is here to throw its hat in the ring to take the crown from the Xiaomi Mi Box. It has a clean look, a great remote, and offers crisp 4K video. It’s the complete package, despite it costing more than the next best thing. The Nova is one of the more expensive boxes on the…
If reading that headline left you questioning what PS5 Accolades are, then join the club. Accolades were a way to anonymously let a player know they made an impact. Accolades could be given for being a ‘good sport’, ‘helpful’, or ‘welcoming’. These accolades would be displayed on your profile to show other players that you’re one of the good ones. And Sony is set to remove the feature, despite the PS5 being so young. Why? Because no one knew Accolades even existed. Upon removing them, Sony said that not enough people used the feature, prompting its removal. Goodbye forever “In…

Most Android users will agree that Google Assistant’s default voice can get a little… annoying after a couple of years. But you deal with it because Google Assistant’s pros outweigh the dull voice you’ve become accustomed to. The thing is; you don’t have to deal with the robotic voice if you don’t want to. Google allows users to change the voice in the settings of their phones but doesn’t shout about it. You’ve probably never come across the setting before – because it’s buried under a few settings pages. We’re here to show you how to navigate these settings, and…
