The Venn diagram of Discovery Bank clients who also have DStv in SA probably looks like two circles that don’t understand social distancing that well, but that hasn’t stopped ’em from teaming up. If you’re one of those rare customers, you already know how to earn up to 25% back in Discovery Miles via DStv. What you (probably) didn’t know is that, until the end of June, that figure will double, allowing clients to earn up to 50% back in Miles.
DStv’s going the extra mile(s)
“DStv customers who bank with Discovery can earn up to 50% of their DStv package payment back in Discovery Miles, while they tune in for our world-class content line-up, which includes the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in June,” said Willington Ngwepe, CEO of MultiChoice.
Available to DStv Stream and decoder customers, the promotion will officially run until 30 June 2026. After that, you’re back to the initial 25% reward bonus. It’s currently available to customers with DStv Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus, or DStv Premium. All of those, including Stream, can watch the FIFA World Cup, too.

Typically, not all of the qualifying Discovery Bank clients are eligible for the full 25% (now 50%) reward. Even if you’re one of the customers earning back 15%, that figure will be doubled during the campaign period. It’s a win-win situation regardless of your status as a Discovery member. Still, it’s worth taking a peek at the Ts and Cs.
All a Discovery Bank member has to do to unlock the benefits is pay their monthly DStv bill either via debit order or card — the same as when the initiative was first announced in November. If you already have this set up, you can sit and watch the Discovery Miles flow in. Of course, you’re then also paying for DStv. Can’t have everything.
