Select Xbox Black Friday deals will run from 25 November to 2 December 2024, covering both Black Friday and Cyber Monday, courtesy of local distributor Prima Interactive. Prima has organized the deals into three categories: games, consoles, and controllers.
Prima’s Xbox Deals
While Game Pass isn’t necessarily being discounted, Prima highlights its value for budget-conscious gamers. Subscribers gain access to all Xbox first-party titles on launch day and a massive game library, including Minecraft, Forza, Halo, Starfield, and Call of Duty.
Additionally, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (featuring Campaign, Zombies, and Multiplayer) and EA FC 2024 are already included with Game Pass Ultimate. When Indiana Jones launches on 9 December, it will also be free with an active Game Pass subscription.
Two console models will be on sale: the Xbox Series S 512GB is discounted to R7,600 (down from R9,000). The Xbox Series X 1TB Disc Edition is still priced at R15,000 but now comes bundled with Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 at no additional cost.
Xbox Series controllers, which work with Microsoft’s consoles, PCs, Macs, and smartphones will also see a price drop. Usually priced at R1,700, they’ll be available for R1,400 during the sale.
The deals will be available at several retailers, including Amazon, Bash, BT Games, Checkers, Computer Mania, FNB Connect, Game, Game 4 U, HiFi Corp, Incredible, Makro, Sportscene, Takealot, Teljoy, Vodacom, and more. With Prima Interactive’s discounts on consoles, accessories, and Game Pass perks, the Black Friday sale may be a great opportunity for console gaming enthusiasts to splurge.
