If you don’t own a piece of kit from Logitech, you might’ve missed that the company held its annual G Play showcase yesterday. If you do own Logitech gear, you might’ve seen an ad for the showcase appear in the company’s companion G Hub app — a move that didn’t go down well with fans.
At this year’s showcase, Logitech had quite the spread of new devices, including two new mice based on its industry-favourite G Pro X Superlight, a new low-profile keyboard, two gaming headsets for PC and console gamers, and a few bits for the racing sim enthusiasts.
Logitech brings new ways to play

Of the bunch, we’re most excited about the G Pro X2 Superstrike. It’s the first gaming mouse to replace traditional mechanical switches with a new “haptic inductive trigger system,” similar to what we’ve seen from analogue gaming keyboards in recent years.
The switch to analogue is meant to introduce “breakthrough advances in click latency, customization, and performance” and includes haptic actuators that are supposed to simulate the feeling of a real click. This one is aimed squarely at professional gamers (this also includes the professionally ambitious).

Along with the Pro X2 Superstrike comes the Pro X Superlight 2c. It’s another version of the Pro X Superlight 2 for people with smaller hands and biceps — it weighs 51g, whereas the Superlight 2 weighs a whole 9g more. It still boasts up to 95 hours of battery life, mind you.

If you’re in the market for a new keyboard and specifically want something with a lower profile, analogue switches, and no number pad, the G515 Rapid TKL could be your next upgrade. Low-profile magnetic analogue switches? Check. Rapid trigger feature? Check. Available in black and white? You bet.
Where your ears are concerned, there’s the new Astro A20 X and the G321 Lightspeed. They’re mid-range and budget gaming cans, with the former offering multipoint connections and up to 90 hours of battery with the RGB switched off. The latter only claims 20 hours of battery and a suitable price to go with it.
Racing sim fans have the new RS50 Direct Drive Wheelbase with TRUEFORCE and RS Pedals to look forward to. The company says these have been designed to “deliver unparalleled realism, control, and customization” and that they “redefine what’s possible for racers of all skill levels.” Time for your low-skill friends to put that to the test.
